I have a SuSe 10.1 box and ntop installation was just without any glitches. It's part of SuSe DVD.

After installation I am able to access http://localost:3000 and see ntop console.

The problem:

ntop isn't capturing any packets. It's looking at eth0 (lying disconnected) by default and I am connected to my network on eth1. How should I change it?

Should I configure my ntop to listen on eth1 or would it matter if I use the same NIC for both monitoring and capturing. Being a Linux machine, I enter into it thru VNC connection via eth1 and start mozilla to see the ntop interface. I cannot access ntop console thru any other machine on my network if I type http://ntop_machine_IP:3000

I can ping and get a reply from my ntop hosed machine's IP though.

Why?
