Bump

I've spent the last two days upgrading all my packages from the ports
collection - including X. This was the result of installing the ntop
3.3.0? BSD port - it got a long way through the process and died with
some X error. So, I ran "portupgrade" and followed all the special
instructions on upgrading Xorg/XFree86 and 320 packages and MANY MANY
hours later it was done.

So, I install the 3.3.0 port again and run it, but something is broke.
It only using a few CPU cycles while the netflow interface queues are
maxed out and the http server doesn't reply. So - I move back to the
3326 release from SVN. Run everything fresh again, autogen.sh, gmake,
and gmake install. All is goes well, BUT STILL NO GRAPHICS! WTF?

I can post a 100 pages (or more) of output, but I'd rather narrow it
down a little. Any help would be appreciated - and I'll provide
whatever you need.

Thanks!

Gary

When I access the ntop webserver using FireFox there are no errors. I
get the nTop graphic logo and a little pencil or something in the
interface that links to the ChangeName. However, in IE I get no graphics
at all and a bunch of "Page cannot be displayed" in the frames where
the charts and graphics should be. I also get this error at the top:
"Please enable make sure that the ntop html/ directory is properly
installed"

I just deleted all nTop stuff I know of and ran gmake install again. I
checked the content of ...ntop/html and it all looks good and perms are
OK.

Going home now. Hopefully in the morning someone will have a fix for
me!

Gary

OK - I remember the first time I did the make process (autogen.sh,
gmake, gmake install) it spewed some message about X11 Base. Per
instructions I added a line to the /etc/make.conf - maybe I told it X
wasn't there?

I wiped out my install directory and got the source again from SVN.
Running the make process now with the X11 line removed from make.conf
and now there's no error? But alas, still no graphics / images.

I now there's something I prolly need to change in the configure file -
but no clue what. Guess I'll keep digging.

PS: When I upgraded I didn't delete or uninstall anything from 3.2.1.
I never had rrdtools installed, but since 3.3.3. didn't include it I
installed rrdtools 1.2.23 from the FreeBSD ports.

Reviewed log file and only errors are concerning snmp and xmldump
plugins being compiled for 3.2.1 and not 3.3.3.

Just upgraded from 3.2.1 to 3.3.3 from SVN. Compiled cleanly ( I think)
on FreeBSD 6.1

My pretty Pie charts are now missing; such as Summary > Traffic. All
the text is there - but no graphics.

I've browsed the log files and didn't see anything that would refer to
this. I am not using rrd yet and noticed the "Network Load" is missing
- but there's a message below that says it should be missing unless rrd
is active and working correctly.

I'll keep snooping - but any help would be appreciated.
