Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately the size of the DNS
database is small, so I will keep on digging cause I
have the same problem on multiple machines.

Don't know if it will help in your case, but the
dnsCache.db file seems
to cause me trouble when it gets "big".  Stop nTop,
delete that file,
and fire it up again.  Maybe it will help - if not you
didn't really
hurt anything.
