Have you checked out Ci$co's website - and others on Netflow? I would
assume the specs are open and available, but could be wrong.

Subject: [Ntop] nProbe - man or V9 extensions documentation?

I am using the demo version of nProbe V4 and exploring the nProbe
Netflow V9 extensions , i.e. %APPL_LATENCY_USEC, %FINGERPRINT etc.
Through trial and error I am getting a feeling for what they are
measurung and what cases they return a result, and when they don't. But
there must be an easier way. If this information is documented in the
source code then let me know, and I will wait until I have access to
that? (Sorry still waiting for my official purchase of the software to
get though my companies purcasing department, so can't get at the source
files yet)

Otherwise - this is a fantastic product, my field of interest is more in
application performance metrics (layer 4+) rather than basic network
metrics. nProbe/Netflow V9 has my creative juices flowing regarding the
information it gathers and the opportunity to add more application
specific performance metrics to it.
