-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello again!
After searched and read docs/FAQ, I guess that rrd plugin is the best way to archive history data about our network usage. But now I'm having some troubles with that. I had to run ntop, as root, because I always had an error on creating rrd directory... Solved now. The first time I was able to run the plugin, it created a lot of data (about 2Gb) within the 'hosts' dir, witch I disable for now and only have interfaces enabled. But it seems to get other errors, on log: Thu Jun 12 18:12:33 2008 **ERROR** releaseMutex() called with an UN-INITIALIZED mutex [t2954058640 m0xb6e1d3e0 @rrdPlugin.c:2426] Thu Jun 12 18:12:33 2008 **ERROR** accessMutex() called 'rrd_last' with an UN-INITIALIZED mutex [t2954058640 m0xb6e1d3e0 @rrdPlugin.c:2050] and it still filling the sys-log with that kind of message. More strange is the plugin gots disabled but ntop stills write rrd's... Is this the right behavior? Also, in the Arbitrary Graphs, in file selection, too many options are shown and many don't work, because are not set maybe. All I want to record periodically, is the amount of data per host and if possible by protocol. I guess there should be an easy way, but don't know how yet. Appreciate any help!
