Hello there,

I just installed Ntop v.3.3.9 [i686-redhat-linux-gnu] on a FC6
machine. I am quite impressed with the amount of data it provides!

I have 2 questions regarding the installation that I searched on but
the solutions provided in the archives did not work.

1. I get the following error when starting the daemon only, not from
the command line:
Error Opening file ./GeoLiteCity.dat
Error Opening file ./GeoIPASNum.dat

Daemon is started using:
"ntop -d -M -i bond0 -P /usr/local/etc/ntop/ -u ntop "

Both files are in /usr/local/etc/ntop/
and the directory are owned by ntop user:
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ntop ntop 2204601 Jan 14 17:58 GeoIPASNum.dat
-rw-rw-r-- 1 ntop ntop 1156240 Mar 8 16:16 GeoIP.dat

2. Is it possible to log to a unique log file - ie:
var/log/ntop/ntop.log? I see how to define an access log and dump
files but not a separate log file for messages.

Thanks in advance for any advice and for what seems to be a wealth of
new information for me!

Ed
