I'm not understanding this display... *16:22 - 16:23*73.8 Mbit/s mkt-ncordova.mycompany.com<http://znetmon:3000/192.168.12.165.html> <http://znetmon:3000/thptStatsMatrix.html?col=1#> 23.4 Mbit/s 192.168.126.1 (vlan 110) [IP] <http://znetmon:3000/192.168.126.1-110.html> <http://znetmon:3000/thptStatsMatrix.html?col=1#> 0.0 bit/s 192.168.249.1 (vlan 110) [IP] <http://znetmon:3000/192.168.249.1-110.html> <http://znetmon:3000/thptStatsMatrix.html?col=1#> 0.0 bit/s 192.168.126.1 (vlan 110) [IP] <http://znetmon:3000/192.168.126.1-110.html> <http://znetmon:3000/thptStatsMatrix.html?col=1#> 0.0 bit/s 192.168.249.1 (vlan 110) [IP] <http://znetmon:3000/192.168.249.1-110.html> <http://znetmon:3000/thptStatsMatrix.html?col=1#> 0.0 bit/s 192.168.221.1 (vlan 110) [IP] <http://znetmon:3000/192.168.221.1-110.html> <http://znetmon:3000/thptStatsMatrix.html?col=1#> 0.0 bit/s The above is from the Network Load Statistics Matrix, 1 hour page.
Doesn't seem to add up to 73.8 Mbit/s. The IP addresses shown are in not use on our network, or rather, they haven't been defined for any of our VLANs, but I believe they come from freeware VMWare server installs on workstations, so I'm not worried about that part of it. This is from port 48 on my backbone switch - an HP 3400cl - that I've set up as the mirror port. I must say that this entry is not representative of most - but it piqued my interest, and I'd be interested in finding out about it. I haven't been monitoring this switch before - I've been concentrating on my firewall subnet to understand traffic there - so I'm seeing a few things that I'm trying to make sense out of. Kurt
