All,

Yesterday we made the change to /etc/libmap.conf to globally map
libpthread to libthr. libmap.conf now has the following
libpthread.so.2 libthr.so.2 . So far we have not had the spawning
issue after 18 hours. Before making the change our system was slowing
down and would have multiple spawns within 10 to 20 minutes. We will
continue to watch our system and report back. We found on the web that
others were having the same issue after they upgraded from FreeBSD 6.2
to FreeBSD 6.3.

Based on benchmarks we found on the web libthr.so is significantly
faster than libpthread.so.

Thanks
Phillip Lynn
