Dear Parents & Guardians,
Many of you are aware that we started this school year with very large class sizes, particularly in grades 9 & 10. This was unacceptable. As a result, the board has allowed me to hire 3 new teachers. This is great news for NT but the challenge is incorporating these new teachers into our staffing model with as little disruption as possible. The aim is to reduce overall class sizes providing more teacher-student contact time. Vice-Principal Ferguson is busy changing the school's master schedule so we may quickly reduce class sizes and incorporate these new teachers. As a result, your child may need a timetable change. This is unavoidable. I want to assure you that the Vice-Principals and Guidance Counselors will do their best to minimize disruption to our students.
