Dear Parents,

After 3 years of planning, the 100th Anniversary celebrations are almost here!
The school is busy making final preparations and I wanted to make you aware of
a few details:

-On Tuesday, May 8th, Student Council will host the "Centennial BBQ" for all
students and staff during an extended lunch period. Along with a catered BBQ
(courtesy of the School (Parent) Council), snacks and beverages, students will
have the opportunity to participate in "Red & Grey" challenges on our athletic
field. There will be prizes and amazing memorabilia available for students
wearing red & grey and showing school pride and spirit. Please encourage your
child to participate in this (free) event.

-There will be no regular classes on Friday, May 11th as we prepare the school
for over 40 events and displays for the Open House on May 12th. Many hundreds
of our students are involved in the preparations and will be present in the
school on May 11th. They have been doing a fantastic job and I appreciate all
of their hard work as we prepare for the Open House.

-The Open House on Saturday, May 12th will be a highlight of the anniversary
celebrations for current staff and students as we showcase our new school and
celebrate our students, staff and programs. Hundreds of students will be
involved in managing decade rooms, cafes, displays and events. They will be
eligible for volunteer hours, anniversary clothing and lots of treats. It will
be a great time.

Thank you for all of your support during this exciting time! If you have any
questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Joel Gorenkoff
Principal
