Let's Talk Mental Health - Parent Information Night
WellNSS-Mental Health Matters Presents: Asante Haughton
 
Where:  Northern Secondary School, Resource Centre, 851 Mount Pleasant Road, 
Toronto

When:   Wednesday, November 26th, 2014-7pm

Hear his story, Q&A that discusses symptoms of Mental Health issues vs. stress, 
how to talk/approach your child, different places to access help

Social worker by trade and educated at the University of Toronto in psychology, 
Asante has become an experienced speaker and mental health advocate. Engaging 
and dynamic, Asante speaks with stark honesty about his life of poverty, family 
trauma, and mental illness. Telling his story with a mix of spoken word and 
rap, Asante aims to inspire his audiences and to provide hope. When Asante 
isn't working he can be found wandering downtown Toronto, admiring art and 
listening to music, checking his fantasy football stats, burying his head in a 
good book, trying exotic foods for the first time, watching indie movies and 
documentaries on Netflix, and of course writing poetry and rapping.
