Dear Parents & Guardians, Each year I receive calls or emails from very concerned parents regarding the March "GRAD TRIP". I have started to receive calls and emails again about the various tour groups offering March Break "Grad" trips (I understand that they ask for deposits early). It is important that I share this strong caution with you at this time. Each year, North Toronto students travel to places like the Dominican Republic or Cuba with these various tour groups, and each year I receive information about a variety of extremely serious concerns & complaints. Some alarming and serious issues occurred this past March Break. North Toronto C.I. in NO WAY sponsors or endorses this trip. Students will NOT be supervised by my staff nor are my staff involved in any way. I want to repeat that this is NOT a school trip. Students have virtually no adult supervision. A number of serious issues are brought to my attention each and every year. I strongly urge you to talk to parents of students who have had experiences in the past before you allow your student to attend such a trip. Please exercise caution.
