Attention all parents!!! Please join us on Monday at 7:30 p.m. for School
Council Meeting. The guest speaker will be Darcy Patrick who will be speaking

North Toronto had another outstanding week in Athletics. The Girls Rugby are
Regional Finalists and both Senior and Junior Ultimate are Regional Champions!
The NT Track and Field Team placed well at City Finals: good luck to Jessica
Strong and Jardine Lam-Colling who are headed to OFSSA track this week.Thank
you all coaches for your time and efforts!
As parents, hopefully you have seen a copy of the NT student newspaper,
Graffiti. If not, ask to see a copy. Kudos to Barry Zohar and Jessica
Bulgutch, Staff Advisors, and all the Graffiti reporters for being awarded
Runner-up in “Best Newspaper (over 15 staff).
Graffiti came home with the following “wins”: Reporting : Megan Leider & Josh
Chong; Feature – long : Ajantha Nadesalingam; Illustration: Madelaine Fischer;
Critical Writing: Wen Bo
We were “runner-up” in the following:Feature – long: Dana Abou Zaki; Feature –
short: Janna Getty; Sports – Feature: Jordie Wilkinson; Sports – Column:
Stavros Greer; Humour: Lauren Kim; Comic: Steven Kenny.
As part of the Grade 10 Civics course, students are involved with YPI (Youth
and Philanthropy Initiative). Congrats to Connor Coluill, Subin Park, Una
Pasagic and Hana Sharifi who were the winning presenters. Their chosen charity,
Making Faces, is a grass-roots Toronto based non-profit organization that
assists folks with facial deformities. As a result of their presentation, a
$5000 cheque was presented to Making Faces – the founder of the organization
was over the moon!
As exams approach, the stress and anxiety increases for some students. Please
keep home as structured and calm as possible with as few late nights as
possible. It is important that students do their best but please work on
setting reasonable expectations together.
Have a great week ... hopefully it will stop raining!
Martha
