Acknowledgements and Upcoming Events
Thank you to all the parents and guardians who attended our Mini-Night on
Thursday September 28!
A special thank you to Jennifer Kurtz, vice-principal, who organized the event.
We look forward to meeting with you again at our annual Parent Teacher
afternoon and evening taking place on Thursday November 23. More information
about this event will be included in the report card packages sent home with
students on Wednesday November 15.
Oct. 3 Student/Guardian Cuba Trip Info Meeting 6:30 pm room 215
There will be a Spanish language immersion trip to Havana, Cuba from Feb.
16-25, 2018 (students will only miss 4 days of school because of PD Day, Family
Day and 2 weekends). The trip is open to students studying Spanish and any
NTCI student who is interested in the experience. Activities will include a
salsa dance lesson, an Afro-Cuban music lesson, a cooking lesson as well as
many cultural excursions along with some service work in local schools. For
more info please attend the information meeting on Tuesday, October 3 at 6:30
p.m. in room 215. Also, a flyer is available on the school Moodle under
Moderns, Spanish General.

The NTCI Foundation presents Homecoming 2017 with an epic alumni concert
featuring Jim Cuddy '74 and The Skydiggers (Andy Maize '78 & Josh Finlayson
'82) with special guests Devon Cuddy ('05) and Charlotte Cornfield ('06) in the
school auditorium on Saturday October 14 at 7:00 pm. This is a 19+ event.
Limit two tickets per family. Doors open at 6:30pm. Please bring cash as there
will be $5 drinks (beer & wine) and merchandise (CDs, pop sockets, concert tees
& quarter zips) for sale. Print out your receipt and pick up your name
tag/commemorative ticket with seat assignment at the school. Tickets are on
