Acknowledgements and Upcoming Events Thank you to all of the parents who attended our Parent Teacher interview sessions this week. We value your partnership and support! School Council meeting: Our next meeting will take place on Monday November 27 at 7:30 pm in room 215. Monday's Parent Council guest speaker is Dr. Robyn Stremler, RN, PhD, Associate Professor and Director of the PhD program at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto and an Adjunct Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Stremler's program of research is focused on helping parents and children of all ages achieve the sleep they need for optimal health. In this talk, Dr. Stremler will outline the normal changes that occur to sleep in adolescence, describe the impact that sleep deprivation has on health and school performance, examine factors that influence sleep, and discuss strategies to optimize sleep in high school students.
