Acknowledgements & Upcoming Events & Dates Thank you to all of our parents, family and friends who came out to support our 73rd annual Maytime Melodies concerts this week. We are extremely proud of our Music department (Mr. Varahidis, Ms. Monteith, Mr. Rice and Ms. Dalamba) and all of our talented musicians and vocalists. Thank you to the North Toronto staff and students who volunteered at both events. We look forward to more musical evenings next year! Student Council elections! Congratulations to our student council candidates who have run a smooth campaign this past week. Voting day is Wednesday May 8 before school and during lunch. Good luck to all! North Toronto's annual Prom! Our Prom will be held on Thursday May 16 at Palais Royale (1601 Lake Shore Blvd West) starting at 6:30 pm. We look forward to celebrating with our graduating class. Incoming Grade 9 Welcome Evening! The school community will be welcoming our new Grade 9 students and their families on Thursday May 23 starting at 6:30 pm. A plenary session will be held in the auditorium followed by a selection of four workshops for parents. Students will participate in a series of activities in different areas of the school lead by our current student leaders. School Council news! Please join us on Monday May 27th at 7:30 pm in room 215 for our next NTCI School Parent Council Meeting. Our guest will be teacher and parenting coach Michelle Keeley, who will speak to us on the topic "The Teenage Tango: Dealing with Power Struggles with your Teenager". Are you interested in tips to take the sting out of power struggles with your teen? Parenting a teen is often a dance and it takes two to tango! Please join us on May 27th for interesting discussion and helpful ideas for improving your relationship with your teen(s)! Final exams: Monday June 10 - Friday June 21. Please refer to the NTCI website for a copy of the final examination schedule. Commencement: Thursday June 27. A formal invitation letter will be mailed early next week to potential graduates with information and timelines for the day and two complimentary tickets for the ceremony starting at 1 pm.
