>From the North Toronto Athletics Committee!
Whether on the field, on the ice, in the pool, around the track, on the court
or on the ski hill, NT has enjoyed success for many years. However, additional
resources are required to further that tradition.
Formed three years ago to "Connect the past with the present and build towards
the future", the North Toronto Athletics Committee (NTAC) was formed as both a
friend and fundraising initiative, to continue the success story that is
athletics at NT. We are a mixture of NT alumni, staff and parents!

Over the past two years, we've generated over $10,000 and have been able to
help the athletics department with the purchase of equipment for the weight
room, uniforms for teams and helped cover fees for tournaments. Success so
far, BUT...We want to do more.
We are looking for more parents of current NT students to help with our
committee and events.
Our next meeting will be held on November 25th @ 6:30p.m. at NTCI Room 215 and
we invite you to support all athletes at NTCI and the legacy that they will
leave behind.
Please join us on November 25th or contact Michael Colley at
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> to find out how you may
become Part of the Action!
Thank you
Michael Colley & Kirsten Sixt

Street proofing Tips!

Please encourage your children to be vigilant as we are aware of a recent
series of street robberies within a one-km. radius of Yonge Street and Eglinton
Avenue. These incidents are mostly swarming-type robberies involving teenagers
where a group of people approach the victims and demand personal property
including cell phones, clothing and money. Toronto Police Services is
requesting that the public be vigilant in the area. Police are also requesting
anyone who is a victim or witness to this type of incident to contact police.
Students should not engage or retaliate in these situations.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5300, Crime
Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at
www.222tips.com<http://www.222tips.com>, or text TOR and your message to CRIMES
(274637).

Please find below a link to the TDSB Streetproofing Tips sheet for parents to
share with their children. This tip sheet was distributed in hard copy earlier
this year to all North Toronto students.
