Have not tried with .chm. However with network executables I have pinned an
allowable object to the taskbar and then changed its properties to point to the
desired item and icon.
Works fine until the user deletes them :)

Subject: [NTSysADM] Pin a .chm file to the Taskbar or Start Menu

Anyone got any sneaky ways of getting a .chm file, or a shortcut to a .chm
file, to be pinned to the Taskbar or Start Menu? Apparently there are only
certain file types you can bung on there...has anyone had to cross this bridge
and found a way of achieving it?

TIA,
