OK, I've gotten through the users and groups OK, now on to the group
membership. This seems to be the tricky part. As far as I can tell these
seem to be the syntax rules fro the input file:

1. The first line of the file needs to be a blank space
2. I need to modify the changetype: add to changetype: Modify and
also add a line below it to add: member
3. Each changetype: modify and add: member pair must be separated
by a "-"
4. Each group must be separated by a "-" followed by a blank space
5. File must end with a "-" followed by a blank space

So my export file will need to be tweaked to follow this format. But in my
export, one of my groups is exported in this format, but only one group
(out of thousands). So why is it exported that way, and since it seems
that LDIFDE can do that, how do I get it to format all the groups that way
so I don't have to tweak the file?

Export command is:
ldifde -f c:\temp\Groups_With_members1.ldf -s acmedc4 -d "dc=acme,dc=com"
-p subtree -r
"(&(ObjectCategory=group)(objectClass=group)(name=*)(member=*))" -l
"member"

Thanks
