On my current project, this customer has some older Infoblox appliances that handle just DHCP. They are ordering new Infoblox appliances and will move their DNS to the new appliances. This Friday, they have asked me to combine my last years "10 Things in AD" presentation with this years "More Things in AD" and give them a version customized for their environment. (going to be a long 3 hours)
Since I cover Aging & Scavenging (A&S) in detail this year and knowing they are moving their DNS to Infoblox, I emailed their Infoblox support reps. I wanted to know how they handle A&S, DHCP/DNS integration, DHCP Option 81 stuff, Name Protection, do they have Refresh/No-Refresh/Scavenging intervals, how their scavenging process works, etc, etc, etc. I have apparently stumped Infoblox support as they told this customer they have no answers for my questions. Do any of you know how Infoblox handles all the above mentioned items? If it is appliance specific, I can get that information.
