Just a heads up, as I did last year. Derbycon is on for the end of September. Disclaimer, my kid owns it. Looking pretty solid this year again, the training days have been extended to two days, Wed and Thurs. Conference is Fri, Sat and Sunday. I am taking Carlos Perez's powershell class. I am also doing a presentation in the Blue Team track, basically securing a very hostile environment with no budget.

Marriot next door is cheaper, and a block down the street is a Red Roof in that is actually pretty good and really cheap. No need for a car, everything you could want is within 2 blocks.
