I believe I figured it out:

Enable
Config

interface range ethernet g(3-4)
channel-group 2 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(3-4)
lacp port-priority 2
exit

interface range ethernet g(5-6)
channel-group 3 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(5-6)
lacp port-priority 2
exit

interface range ethernet g(7-8)
channel-group 4 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(7-8)
lacp port-priority 2
exit

interface range ethernet g(9-10)
channel-group 5 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(9-10)
lacp port-priority 2
exit

I then did a copy running-config startup-config (hoping I wasn't make a royal
mess). I then went to HyperV1, set each NIC for Jumbo Frames, configured the
team for LACP and after a few seconds it stated successfully negotiated LACP.
I then assigned the team an IP address and downloaded 695MB worth of Windows
Updates.

I am going to assume that since it appears to be working I have everything
configured properly.

Running-config now shows:

port jumbo-frame
interface range ethernet g(3-4)
channel-group 2 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(5-6)
channel-group 3 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(7-8)
channel-group 4 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(9-10)
channel-group 5 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(23-24)
channel-group 1 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(3-10)
lacp port-priority 2
exit

Thanks

Subject: [NTSysADM] Help with a Dell 5424 switch

I am NOT a switch guy and could use some help here.

I have a Dell 5424 switch and I cannot remember how to setup an LACP bond
between two ports.

I setup ports 23/24 for my Synology NAS several months ago with ASB's help. I
am rebuilding my lab with, right now, four Server 2012 Hyper-V hosts. Each
host has two NICs and I will use 2012's NIC Teaming to setup a team using LACP.

Host 1 is in switch ports 3/4
Host 2 - 5/6
Host 3 - 7/8
Host 4 - 9/10

I have no idea what switch configuration info you need, so let me know if you
need any other info.

This is what my running config shows for the two ports the NAS is plugged into.

port jumbo-frame
interface range ethernet g(23-24)
channel-group 1 mode auto
exit
interface range ethernet g(23-24)
lacp port-priority 3
exit

Question, does each LACP bond need a different priority?

Thanks

Webster
