  I'm familiar with the prisoner's dilemma (the thing where if one
prisoner rats out the other, the rat goes free and the other gets
double the punishment, but if they both rat out each other, they both
double their punishment, right?), but I don't get how it's applicable
here.  Not saying it doesn't apply, just that I don't get it.

  Do you have a suggestion on a book/site that could clue me in on how
this stuff applies to problem-solving?  I can Google "game theory" but
knowing the, well, theory of game theory isn't the same as knowing how
it applies.
