You probably don't hear about "your friends (sic) company getting hacked" because it's not newsworthy. Not because it didn't happen.
I'd wager a huge portion of the issues of common malware (like Cryptolocker) don't affect huge enterprises significantly, but they do affect the SMBs a lot. You seem to be conflating Cloud and Fortune 500 companies. You hear about Fortune 500 companies getting hacked, but what does that have to do with Cloud? Nothing as far as I can tell.
