The problem is, they're not really going to attack Citrix much by "reinventing VDI" (again). People aren't avoiding VDI because it's hard to do and complicated, people are avoiding it because it's actually not such a good idea and 99 times out of 100 a XenApp or RDSH published desktop or applications do exactly what they need without requiring VDI. I don't think it's a huge threat to Citrix (or VMWare, for that matter). More like Amazon trying to see what they can move on to because they've peaked with AWS?
