FYI: OpenSRS, AKA Tucows, AKA third-largest domain name registrar in the world, is experiencing a distributed denial-of-service attack. Various DNS outages are resulting.
OpenSRS runs a huge reseller program, so even if your domain is provided by, say, DomainMonger.com, you could still be using OpenSRS and not know it. http://www.opensrsstatus.com/archives/8986 The above ticket sometimes returns HTTP/500, I suspect it's getting a lot of hits. "Dec 17, 2013 15:22 UTC: We are currently experiencing some networking issues and are investigating the root cause. We will provide more information as soon as it becomes available." "Dec 17, 2013 at 17:50 UTC: The issue has resurfaced and our operations team is investigating. We thank you for your patience." (No prizes for guessing who we use at %WORK%.) -- Ben
