Windows 8.1 has Pervasive Device Encryption -- i.e., encryption support on all 
editions of Windows.

Win8.1 Pro and Win8.1 Enterprise have BitLocker.

WinRT 8.1 and Win8.1 (Basic) support encryption natively, if the hardware 
supports it (WinRT 8.1 requires that the hardware support it).
