I think you’ll find a lot of updates are now superseded by newer updates. So
add and sort by the superseded column, and that should allow you to take care
of a bunch in bulk.

I suppose it would be possible to run a query against the DB to decline x64
updates in bulk.

That all said, I’m sure my 32bit and 64bit updates show up separately (maybe
this is only a Win7+ thing). I only have a single 32bit Win7 machine left, and
32bit updates don’t show up until that machine has checked in.

Cheers
Ken

I have a lot of Vista machines and need to decline, for example, any 64 bit bit
updates. I usually end up declining a large number each month for reasons like
that.

But wouldn't/couldn't you set the new one to only download updates from
win7/2008 office 2010 and higher?

To be honest, I have no clue. I've been running a WSUS server for almost 10
years.

How many of the ones you declined were superseded, and you later accepted them?

I'm not sure I completely agree with that. My biggest problem would be all the
updates that I have declined over the years. I'd hate to think the size of the
database if I didn't. Also, might get updates installed that I didn't want.
Filtering isn't granular enough to block all the ones I have declined.
