As others have asked, the state of your current environment and what your requirements and expectations are would be useful. Just to add to the pile of questions: o- Do you currently have a SAN, and if so, what kind? o- Can you characterize your I/O load now, and what you expect with this project? o- Are you looking to be able to migrate VMs from host to host live (for execution and/or data storage) for whatever reason (load balancing, high availability, host maintenance, etc.)? o- What scripting skills do you have in your shop? (powershell is mighty useful for both VMware and (I'm sure) Hyper-V, but I don't know about XenServer support for it.) o- What kind of licensing agreement do you have with MSFT? If you have an EA, it can get complicated if you use VMware (well, anything, really, but we're looking over our EA now, and...) Having asked all those questions, I'm a fan of VMware's vSphere, mostly because it's what is familiar to me. Haven't worked with any of the others. Kurt
