2008 R2 SP1 Remote Desktop server. No connection broker in use. Most users
access published remote apps from an rdp shortcut on their desktop. A few
access apps via browser based RD Web Access. Multiple times a day the server
will throw a RADWebAccess Event #5 application error with the description of
"No programs were detected on server_name. Ensure that the server is an RD
Session Host server and that it is online." When this occurs, logging onto an
RD Web Access session presents a blank screen with zero applications present.
Desktop rdp shortcuts still function but attempting to do an update to Remote
App and Desktop Connections via Control panel returns and error that states no
applications are available. Other than rebooting the server or restarting
Remote Desktop Services the only other way I have found to correct it is to
open Remote App Manager on the server, open the Properties of any remote app
program listed then click OK. Once I do that all issues are immediately
resolved until the next occurrence. This issue is documented around the web but
no one seems to have a fix. I have an identical TS server that does not exhibit
this issue. Has anyone seen this and successfully corrected it?
Thanks.
Steve
