Subject: Re: [NTSysADM] question about iPads and iPhones

There are nations of MDM, MAM and MIM solutions out there (mobile device
management, mobile app management, mobile information management). Some (like
AppSense MobileNow, which I have experience of) do a wide variety of things
like jailbreak detection, anti-malware, application management, etc., and a
load more besides.
Citrix (XenMobile) and VMware (AirWatch) both also have solutions in this arena
that do a hell of a lot besides what you've asked for. There are many smaller
players too.
I suggest you take a dip into Google and see what you can find. Don't know if
MS or Google have entered this area either, but you can probably find a load
with a simple search.

Cheers,

JR

I have little understanding of these devices other than they say they haven’t
been hacked (Unless jail broken) and probably won’t for several more years.
If this is the case then there really isn’t a true virus scanner for them as of
yet. Outside of a URL filter app there is not much in the way of security for
these types of devices?
