I said a few weeks (or months) ago that I was preparing an article on EFS (enterprise file syncing) vendors. I've finally managed to get around to researching it, but I just wanted to reach out for a few opinions.
1. Obviously there are *loads* of players in this space and I'm restricted to around a thousand words per article (I could make it a series of up to three, but anything more might be overkill). I was going to concentrate on the more popular ones (OneDrive, ShareFile, VMware Sync, Box, Google, DropBox, DataNow spring to mind straight away). Are there any other really popular solutions anyone out there uses that I should cast my eye over that I haven't mentioned? 2. What sort of features are most important? Obviously a few that come to mind are Security/encryption On-premises or cloud-based Group collaboration Version control Tagging Client performance What do you look for in an EFS product that would be worth putting into a comparison article? Thanks for any input you can provide, sorry the questions I am asking are a little open-ended, but hopefully we can get a useful reference at the end of it!
