DNS != AD It may have been looking up the Active Directory domain's info using the DNS servers at HQ... and then using that info to contact a DC at site 5. Unless you've defined *all* your IP nets properly in AD Sites and Services, the AD client will not know which site/DC is closest. -- Ben
