I suppose by "supported" - I meant you could do it while it was still a live 
product.
And I imagine there are people out there still running E2003/AD2003 who would 
like to rename their domains.

No sir, no longer supported.

Exchange 2003 is completely out of support.

It is supported for Exchange 2003 in a 2003 Domain.
Maybe not recommended... but supported.  I survived it here.
