Good suggestion, I'll mention that to our implementers (Softchoice), in the mean time I did get the Free Solar Winds SFTP going, thanks Jim for that suggestion.

As you found out, there are very few free Windows SFTP servers. Most of them suck horribly. There are a number of paid options. BitVise SSH Server was mentioned by someone else and works exteremely well. It's not expensive either. What we typically do is install a CentOS 6 VM on the UCS server (CUCM installs are 100% virtualized these days... VMware is the only supported virtualization platform), and use the Linux VM as the backup target somehow. We work with the end customer to make sure they can pull backups off the Linux VM; if they can't we mount a Windows CIFS share on the VM and use that mount point for the SFTP path. The Linux VM also makes for a convenient syslog target and RANCID (http://www.shrubbery.net/rancid/) is almost worth it's weight in gold, so to speak. -- Phil Brutsche [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Stefan Jafs Sent: Wednesday, August 06, 2014 6:00 AM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: [NTSysADM] SFTP server to backup our new Cisco phone system What are you guys using, the recommendations from our consultants makes me feel that they really do not know what works. I looked at Titan from www.webdrive.com<http://www.webdrive.com>, seems overly complicated and $$$, tried a free one (can't remember the name) it did not work, So some recommendations would be appreciated.
