FYI: (Previously on NTSYSADM: https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg09087.html) Even after updating to Windows 8.1, the built-in "System Image" backup would not accept any of the USB flash drives I tried. However, after updating to 8.1, an option to backup to a network location appeared. If I share the USB flash drive, and target that share, it seems to work. No idea if this can actually be restored; I didn't try. I borrowed a USB-attach hard disk drive (with ye ole spinning platters) from %WORK%, and that worked fine. -- Ben
