  Hmmm.  I'll give it a shot.  Whatever is happening seems to usually
hit every process on the system relatively quickly, so I think the
problem isn't in a userland process, but instead some kernel mode
thread or driver or something.  But it can't hurt to try.

  Most everything in the company (including my PC) is plugged into a
stack of ProCurve 2920 switches, so sort-of "they all are".  But we do
have a 2910 in an IDF at the far end of the building, and one PC I've
seen the issue on is fed from that.  Of course, that 2910 is uplinked
to the 2920's.
