I have had a lot of success using sumatra PDF 
http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/sumatrapdf/free-pdf-reader.html where Adobe 
was causing all sorts of issues, from  long delays is generating, to RESOURCE 
HOGGING on PC's and TS servers-
 
I actually no longer deploy Adobe at all
