We've found that Outlook 2013's search message preview functionality was changed with an update in the past few months. Click to run installs after version 15.0.4569.1508 are affected, but I'm not sure exactly which update changed it. I can't find anything in the update release notes.
If the search scope is changed from Current Mailbox to Current Folder, previews are shown. Current Mailbox: [cid:[email protected]] Current Folder (notice one line message preview): [cid:[email protected]] If Outlook is removed as an indexed location in Indexing Options, the functionality is restored...however searches are slower and don't appear to work in PSTs. Any ideas if there is a workaround to search the full mailbox and show a 1-2 line message preview in the results?
