Since we seem to be discussing patches today... I've got a machine which refuses to install KB2919355, Windows 8.1 Update. It fails with a code 0x80073712.
I've been working through all the suggested methods of repairing this and I've run into a snag with DISM in the process. In particular I'm trying to go through the process outlined here... http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-windows_update/error-0x80073712-when-installing-kb-2919355/c5a08cdf-6e41-4b67-b2ae-68f542070840 I've got reports of corrupt packages but I'm unable to clean them up. I'm yet to find the required syntax to get the reparir source to be recognized. The particular command line I'm using is a variant of this: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth /source:wim:y:\sources\install.wim:1 /limitaccess I've actually mounted the WIM as well and have tried using the mounted image instead combined with the /index switch. I keep getting an error stating the files could not be found. Can anyone guide me as to the best way to make the files available? If there's a better way I'm game as well.
