Does the method you use to run an installer really make a difference to how the product can be supported? I would understand if you were opening up the installer and changing it, or even packaging it up via App-V or the like, but the deployment method.....I hate vendors.
Reminds me of all the times I heard "we don't support our software running in a VM". My usual response to that would like to have been "well you have been, for f*cking years", but naturally I kept it to myself. Rant off. :-) On 5 January 2015 at 16:00, J- P <[email protected]> wrote: > I just chose to use the letter T, perhaps the pushd/popd method would work > better- > All I get from the vendor is "we dont support deploying the software in > that manner , but you can try " > > As stated in the other reply, changing from T: back to C: allowed the net > use /del to release the connection > > > ------------------------------ > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [NTSysADM] EXE to MSI-help > Date: Mon, 5 Jan 2015 13:33:59 +0000 > > > You’re still actively on that drive when you’re trying to delete it. > You really can’t delete your PWD.
