Does the method you use to run an installer really make a difference to how
the product can be supported? I would understand if you were opening up the
installer and changing it, or even packaging it up via App-V or the like,
but the deployment method.....I hate vendors.

Reminds me of all the times I heard "we don't support our software running
in a VM". My usual response to that would like to have been "well you have
been, for f*cking years", but naturally I kept it to myself.
