As I said elsewhere...

No one readily remembers the date of a stable release of Windows.  They
only remember the horrid ones.

If it is delayed a few months or even a full year, and it comes out
flawless, then there will be no angst in adopting it, and by 2017, no one
will remember that it was "late".
