I have an IBM Java application that recommended on Windows 2003 that having as
much contiguous free memory as possible. On windows 2003 there was a registry
setting HeapDecommitFreeBlockThreshold  as seen at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315407

I have a customer that has this application installed on Windows 2008. I have
Googled to see if this registry setting is still applicable to Win 2008 and
later O/S's but can't find anything definitive.

Anyone with experience using this setting and if it is still applicable on
O/S's later than 2003.

Thanks
