Yes, as long as you don't directly connect the 62.5 in the 50 microns fiber you
are ok. I have switch connect to both type in one of our building, the old and
new infrastructures

Hi all

In a particular location I have two FO trays. One has 62.5/125 FO cable and the
other has 50/125 FO cable. Each tray is servicing a particular area of our
office building. In order for them to communicate with our core switch I am
having to use Gigabit Ethernet converters.
My question is this. Can I patch from the 62.5/125 FO tray onto a network
switch via FO transceiver and then from this network switch via FO transceiver,
patch onto the 50/125 FO tray so as to eliminate these converters?

TIA
Pierre
