Usually folks will go with a reputable certificate provider. Usually
verisign or thawe.

Need to make sure the certificate has a sha2 signature and that is carried
through the certificate chain since sha1 is getting end of life and phased
out sooner than laters and most major browsers are discontinuing support
for sha1.

Hi,
I want to purchase an SSL certificate for one of our support web site.
Which is the most preferred SSL certificate provider? What will be the
approximate cost?
Anything specific to be considered while purchasing the certificate?
This is the first time I am going to purchase/use a third party certificate.
Appreciate any assistance.
TIA

Regards
Mathew
