The folks I'm working with are using SEP very successfully for USB device control. We just wanted to start app whitelisting with it since it's builtin. It works great, but maintaining the file fingerprint list seems overly difficult.
You can update your golden image, then create a new finger print list and push it out to your clients. Great! But how do you update the clients without either disabling whitelisting during the patching process or putting the machines in log only mode for that time? The update installers can't run because they're not in the fingerprint list. I've got to be missing something really simple...
