Another vote here for Enterprise mode. We tried using the old-style compatibility settings wither earlier IE versions and were sorely disappointed in the results. Specifically, you could only define down to two domain name levels and couldn't define any specific sites outside of full domain names. Enterprise mode takes care of all of it.
