I am working on replacing our last 2008 domain controller and am having to look
at time synchronization for the first time in a while. I am trying to go from
manually configuring the PDCe to using group policy to set the external time
source (as described in
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/nepapfe/2013/03/01/its-simple-time-configuration-in-active-directory/
(Using GPO with WMI filter section)).

The manual process indicates to use the "reliable:yes" parameter, and I have
always seen that. I am not seeing a way to do that through group policy. I also
am not having much luck finding information on the necessity of this parameter
for proper operation. Is there a way to do this through policy? If not, is this
totally necessary? It does seem that if the GPO doesn't take care of all
aspects, it is probably not a good total solution.
