[NTSysADM] SharePoint Foundation Replacement

Given that MS will not producing a SharePoint Foundation 2016 edition, what are 
the plans for orgs using it?
I'd like to migrate a non-AD integrated internal wiki to something more windows 
integrated and SharePoint was a logical option.
