I neglected to include:

   - Expect your backup times to vary wildly and/or increase exponentially
   without any idea or expectation of size/time/etc.  If your backup window
   pushes over into the following day, this can have many other detrimental
   impacts on performance, productivity, etc.
   - If your switching equipment is sub-par, you can possibly expect
   multiple torrent use to cause equipment failures.
